Isolated converters have separate negative poles (ground) for input and output, which prevents high input voltage from passing directly to the output end in case of failure. Non-isolated converters share a common ground, making isolated designs significantly safer for carrying precious loads.
PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control provides high efficiency, excellent output voltage ripple, and low noise under heavy loads. PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation) control offers extremely low power consumption under small or light loads. Our converters automatically switch between PWM and PFM to optimize performance based on load conditions.

Standard step-down and buck-boost products feature output overcurrent, short-circuit, input undervoltage, and chip overheating protections. For step-up (boost) series, output short-circuit protection is structurally limited, so adding an input fuse is highly recommended to protect your system.
