Active Harmonic Filter 15A AHF Active Power Filter APF Power Quality Management Filter

Product Description

Working Principle

The working principle of the STD APF series active power filter is to detect the load current in real time, separate the harmonic currents one by one based on the specified harmonic current detection algorithm, and generate and control the driver IGBT output and load harmonic current according to the set filtering percentage. Compensation currents with the same amplitude and opposite phases achieve the purpose of harmonic cancellation.

Products Description

Compact High Performance Active Power Filter

Compact High Performance

  • Wall mount or cabinet mount in an ultra-compact design
  • Modular design, convenient multi-module parallel, small footprint, easy maintenance
  • Independent air duct and independent plate bin structure design to ensure the stable operation of equipment.

Optimal Harmonic Mitigation

  • Harmonic compensation rate >92%
  • Selection of odd and even harmonics up to the 50th order
  • High efficiency >97%
  • Reaction time <100us Response time of <10ms
System Protection & Balance Loads

Protect Your System From Resonance

  • The current spectrum is analysed at 1024 individual points per cycle
  • System impedance at each individual harmonic is effectively 'learnt' by the AHF
  • Compensation current is slowly increased with system stability closely monitored
  • Should resonance be detected at any point the intelligent FFT can skip the problematic point

Balance Your Loads And Correct Your Power Factor Too

  • In addition to harmonic mitigation the AHF can provide load current balancing
  • Reactive power can be compensated for thus increasing power factor

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the working principle of the STD APF active power filter?
It real-time monitors the load current, extracts the harmonic components using an advanced detection algorithm, and drives the IGBT output to generate a compensation current of equal magnitude and opposite phase, successfully canceling out the harmonics.
Which harmonics can the STD APF series effectively mitigate?
The series provides selective mitigation of odd and even harmonics from the 2nd up to the 50th order, achieving a total harmonic compensation rate exceeding 92%.
Can the system handle load balancing and power factor correction?
Yes. In addition to high-efficiency harmonic mitigation, the APF series balances load currents and compensates for reactive power, significantly improving the system's overall power factor.
Does the APF series support parallel operations for larger loads?
Yes, there is no limitation on parallel connection. A single centralized monitoring module can easily manage up to 8 parallel power modules.
How does the unit prevent system resonance?
The APF analyzes the current spectrum at 1024 points per cycle and 'learns' system impedance. If potential resonance is detected at any harmonic point, the intelligent FFT will bypass the problematic frequency to safeguard the system.
What installation configurations are available?
For 220V and 400V series, both rack and wall-mounted installations are supported. For 500V and 690V series, standard rack installation is utilized.
