The APF series active power filters can be used in both low-voltage grids ranging from 0.4kV to 0.85kV and medium-voltage grids ranging from 6kV to 35kV.
By monitoring load current and extracting harmonic currents, the filters cause the IGBTs to generate counter-phase harmonic currents. This suppresses harmonics at the device connection point, preventing harmonic pollution of the grid.
